Something is wrong!

Normally my car sits around 500 rpm's at idle.

Today it went to like 100-300 and was bouncing and i felt the car vibrating like it was going to stall, and then it went back up.

What could be wrong?

My mods :

1. CAI (1years old, never clean up )

2. Cat-back (1years old)

3. NGK Spark Plugs (2weeks old)

Is it still doing it? Unless its causing you big problems, I'd wait it out till your current tank of gas is gone. A bad tank is always a possibility. That is the cheapest and most likely issue. Keep us informed.

cleaning your filter would be a good idea. It would have to be pretty clogged up to make the idle rough. Bad gas is a possiblity, or maybe it was a cpu hick-up.

A bad tank?

I usually spouse the regular one. (on April)

Before April, I spoused the special one (89).

Then I changed cuz of the price of gas.

How to clean my intake?

well all you got to do is take your bumper off (to make things easy) and take your filter off. Then go to ike a parts source or something and get the K&N filter charger kit. It comes with a cleaner and oil to recharge your filter. spray the cleaner on the filter and let soak for 10 minutes. then wash from the inside out with tap water. then let it dry for like 20 minutes. spray the oil on and let sit for 10 minutes. put it back on and your done.

check the timing on your car.

you can adjust the idle by turning the "idle air adjuster" counterclock wise.

before you turn the idle adjuster screw you need to switch off the EACV by unplugging it.
run the warm engine without EACV, adjust the idle to spec shut the engine off. reconnect EACV.
remove the ecu fuse for 5 minutes, put the fuse back
start again and let the car idle for 5 minutes without the lights/blower/heater/stereo. that should work.
also check you timming.
