tach problem

Hey I replaced my spark plugs and my ignition control module this weekend, and when i started up my car, my rpms idle at 1k but when i give gas, it drops to 0. any ideas or suggestions? to me it seems like the rpm needle is going backwards.

check your grounds
have you gone through any of your wiring yet??
this is not going to be a problem that can be solved over the internet

well before i changed my icm, the tach worked, and then the icm fried and i put another one in from a 2000 civic and my tach worked, then the icm fried again a few days after so now i bought another one and put it in and now my tach isnt working, and i also changed my spark plug wires as well. the ones i had on there were red and they had some kind of ground type of wire hooked in to them and the other side of the wires hooked up to the engine under a bolt. idk if that could have caused it but i doubt it cuz it seems to me those were just ground wires on the spark plug wires.

whats a valve cover? the one that covers the spark plug wires? or what one?

lol wierd now all of a sudden my tach started working. So I guess something is up with the wires somewhere, maybe two wires are touching each other somewhere causing it to do that. but hey it works now so im fine with that. But Could it be the wires that connect to the ecu

please take it to someone and have them look at
it will cost you less in the long run.
