Tail light question

I just got a pair of si tail lights and i need to buy an amber turn signal bulb. The turn signal bulb from my ex was a 4770. Ive called around to places around where i live and no one has the 4770 in amber. Would a 4773 work? the only difference is that it is double filament. Or could someone with si tail lights just tell me what bulb is in theirs. Thanks!

a turn signal bulb in your taillight should be a single filament 1156 bulb as long as its in the taillight, otherwise its an 1157 for upfront, due to the fact that those will come on as parking lights as well.

youre still using the 98 wiring harness and not the si harness right? the dual filament bulb SHOULD work but it will most likely use the filament that is not as bright when it blinks, speaking from experiences i had with the same type of issue in my other ride (91 hatch w/jdm tails, used old wiring harness, and dual fil. where single was needed...it worked, but like i said, wont be as bright as when using the correct bulb) thats odd though, they changed the blinker set up from 98 to 99/00? i thought they were using the config...let me know how it works out

its cool, with a dual filament bulb, if u look at it, there are two sep. coils that can light up inside the bulb. these types of bulbs are usually used in a light set up where the same bulb has to be used as a parking light, as well as for a blinker. the dual filament bulb will light up one of the coils when you turn your lights on, and the other coil will only be used when a turn sig. is activated. so the light will continuously remain on and still flash at the same time...the single filament bulb is usually used if a light is ONLY used as a blinker, and therefore only needs one coil to turn on and off in order to flash...hope this helped :
