Time for New Tires Recommendations Welcome

hi, my stock michelins are just about dead now, and i am pretty much screwed when it rains. im sure about getting 205/50's so i can have a little wider track, but am not sure about what kind of tires to get yet. i have heard that kumho ecsta supra 712's are very good bang for the buck. i am also considering dunlop sp9000, and bfgoodrich t/a kd. as for the bfgoodrich, how long would they last on normal street driving? i think they are some sort of drag radial, but i dont really drive that much and was wondering how many miles they would last approximately?

I have the Kumho 712s (215/40x16" in Z rating) good tire for the money. Prolly get about 25-30K miles. The BFG TA KDs should get about the same but it also depends on your drop, your alignment and how you drive too.

I have had Kumho, BFG Comp's, and Nitto NT555. Out of those I would say go with the Kumho tire for the money. They look good and they are cheap. Hope this helps. Later

I went from the stock to Bridgestone Potenza RE730's and I love them. Wet traction and over all grip is incredible in comparison to the Michelins.

You can see what TireRack.com has to say here.

If you have some cash and want rims go for toyo t1-s I am not sure they come in stock sizes or even 205/50 but the are supposed to be some of the best. I'll let everone know what I think of them in late june when I get them.

Can you put the Potenza RE730 (205/50) on the stock Rims?

Anyone know how good the Bridgestone Potenza RE730's are in snow? Every once in awhile I get snow in my area.

Check out the RE910 as well. Good in rain, snow, and dry weather.
