well... i don't know how quite to say it, so i'll just come out with it and hope i make sense.
i got my SI in mid-October 02 and it's taken a while to build up
the courage to drive it anywhere and leave it parked in busy
commercial places for more than a couple hours.
i'm careful and try not to piss anyone off... all i've got is a club
and a viper alarm and it's garaged at home and at work.
the thing is, i've noticed this car prevents me from doing certain things
or makes me think twice about things i would like to do.
i've questioned about going back to school to take
some general art classes. this may sound stupid, but i worry that
my car may get stolen in the schools parking lot.
even more recently, my boyfriend has asked me if i want to
move in together and this means leaving the house i share with my bro,
to move into a crumby apartment with no garage.
i'm not a shallow person and usually not "materialistic"
but ever since i got this car, i just feel like such a consumer,
especially since i started buying all these new dunks and jordans.
maybe i'm just trippen, and have been reading too much "Ad-Busters"
and getting caught up in all the "existentialism"
that i feel like the things i own are starting to own me.
it's 5AM and i am online (shopping) and feeling very empty sometimes.
and with that, i think i will go hug a tree...

maybe i should sell it and make a trip to tibet(?)
Im the same way, I don't like to drive my car around and leave it at places it could be stolen or vandalized. Even if you do get an alarm or park it in a garage the theives will find a way to get your car. It's to bad our cars are looked upon as donor cars for swaps and parts but they are. There have been a lot of people on Superhonda that have had their Si stolen........I can remember back when it seemed we had a couple stolen each week! You have an alarm and club......it will slow the theives down a little bit but not much. If you did sell your car what would you get in place of it?

of having a NICE car when you can't even have
the privilege or driving it? or the peace of mind?
sometimes, i just look at the things i own... or ...
catch myself looking at the morning paper... i don't even read
the news anymore!! i go staight to the FRYS AD or goodguys Ads!
to fill my eyes with more electronics and shit!

Read the post below. It may ease some of your pain, maybe. Life is pain, anyone else who tells you different is selling something. It's a good read if anything.
Just know that the car isn't YOU. All you can do is alarm it, lojack it, and hope it doesen't get jacked. I feel what you're saying about the materialism though...I get obsessed with having something or having my car be a certain way and lose sleep over it until I have it or until something better comes along.
I just try and tell myself that material items are only a temporary fix for happiness.
Don't worry about if the car is gonna get stolen, if it does it does. Yeah take procautions but i mean enjoy your car, this will not be the last car you own. So just enjoy it while it's there that's why you bought it .
What is life about??? Hmm enjoying life, and the things in it. Why worry about things you can't control? If my car get's stolen, oh well. You can get another one. In some twisted evil scheme to make money they made more than 1

I remember seeing a car on tv that had flame throwers on the sides of the car..........if you tried to steal it or open the door it shoots flames at you. Maybe you should get that??!? Just hope you don't set it off yourself! Just think if you had a Ferrari how you would feel right now...

have u ever considered getting an AUTOLOCK??...the bad thing is if they go through ur alarm their gonna steal ur stuff inside, but cant steal ur car....their gonna have to tow it(hopefully doesnt happen)
however theres no guarantee ur car will not get stolen.....if those bastards want something bad, they'll get it no matter what
btw..just being honest, ur pink lettering is making me dizzy....or maybe i havent slept yet?? hehe
Make your car a bitch to steal, club, autolock, alarm, kill switch, etc. Then, make sure your car is fully insured, that way if your car does get jacked, you aren't completely fucked. If you don't feel that is enough, trade me cars, I have a nice '96 EX that is stock.
