VTEC CRACKING LATE???

IVE HAD MY 00 SI FOR A SHORT TIME. JUST HAVE A SIMPLE AEM CAI AND WAITING FOR HEADER, EXHAUST, INTAKE MANI, AND SOME HEADWORK. SOON SOON!! WELL N E WAYZ.... MY VTEC HAS ALWAYS CRACKED AT ABOUT 5000 RPMS... NOW IT SEEMS LIKE ITZ CRACKING RITE BEFORE 6 OR AT SIX... WTF?? AM I SEEING SOMETHING WRONG... MAYBE JUST NOT LOOKIN THE GAUGE HARD ENUFF... OR IS THIS A TYPIAL BAD THING OR NORMAL.... TELL ME WUSSUP?? IM CONFUSED.

i know if your vtec is not working it could be oil, since vtec runs off oil pressure. the same maybe for late engagement, check your oil and report back.

The VTEC in a stock SI/SIR engages around 5500/5600 rpm, so something must be wrong with your oil sender or bad ground.

vtc kicks in at 5600 ALWAYS unless you have a vtec controller, so possibly your tach's off or you just simply need an oil change, or your piston rings and such are fucked which in turn give bad oil pressure and compression
