The Spec III's are a straight drop in, you shouldn't have to change anything.... Why would you order a chip for them??? Just get ya teh buddy club vtec controller, when I get my buddy club III+'s i'm gonnna run stock tune until i can get some dyno time, you shouldn't have to change the activation point.... Or replace anything in the head, it's a straight drop in, but when you get them in let us know how they did

Buddy club member advise me to build the head stronger in order to pass 8000 rpm easily. It is recommended for a spec 3.The engine will look for more fuel and timing.Do you think only a chip will be good? What about an adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

Are you expecting these cams will push your hp peak above 8000? Or do you just want to rev past 8000?

Anyway, a stock B16a will rev to 9 or 9.5k and still smile though .

b16a2 cams stop making power at 7800 from the dyno's i've seen, but the bottom end can rev till then, just need cams that will make power that high

I already have a chipped ecu on my stock b16a block.I need to change the valve springs in order get over 8500 rpm.my redline is 10000rpm.The engine rev doesnt go freely to 9000 rpm with stock valve springs. The core of reaching high rev is using dual valve springs. So dual valves springs are required as i want to go over 9000 rpm.I want to go high with the buddyclub cams.Anyway, what can be with the fueling?
