hey guys what's up?? i have a 2000 civic si and i need some help. i just bought h & r racing springs (sport) for my car and had them put on the other day. well it turns out my car is too low in the front now and nobody can adjust my camber and i have 17s on my car. so i was thinking about getting coilovers. now some people say ground controls are better and some people have told me the skunk2 coilovers are better. what do you guys think? anybody have either one or heard about them? some people are telling me the skunks are a better ride. anybody agree? or any other suggestions??? thanks
Your car is too low with 17s or is it too low in general? Who is telling you that they can't adjust your camber? 17s should work out just fine with a 1.5 - 1.75inch drop.
Yeah dude I thought you had those on your car for a while now?
Then you said you were gonna sell them and get some Eibach SportLines right?
Now your ride is too low?
With those springs and 17's you should be right on.
What kinda shocks do you have?
Anyway, if your gonna get coilovers get GCs
They are the DC of coilovers if you get what I mean.
Only thing is, if you live where the roads are bumpy-not smooth like the West coast or down South you will get a lot of noise from them cause when the wheel is "unsprung" they are liable to move from the perch, like any non-true coilover.

GC's are the abosolute best for coilovers. I have them on my my ride and I love them. how low is your car?? it shouldn't be that low with H&R's.

I also had the H&R's. I took them off, and got the GC's.
The difference was night and day. If you decide to get coilover sleeves, def get the GC's. Also with a drop like that, be sure to pick up some after market struts. I have KYB/AGX's and I love them.

I have h&r Sport springs and don't have any camber problems. I actually had 17's on for a little while and no problems. I did hav alot of rubbing so I took them off. I like my 15's

Yeah the whole name thing confued me at first too. I was like "I didn't write this" "I did have H&R's, but that was a long time ago, now I have GC's" "why the hell am I writing in that color?"
Then I figured it out

thanks for the advise everyone. i think i'm going to go with the ground control's....apparently my car is too low to get the camber adjusted with the h & r springs. my tires rub going over the smallest bumps. not sure what the problem is b/c i had the same 1.75' drop on my last civic si and i didn't have a problem with it. anyways, sorry about the confusion with the names
Stay away from H&R Sports I hate mine so much that when I get the time I am going to reinstall my stock springs, The drop was much lower than I expected I should have gone with the H&R RAce springs or Eibachs (sp?) .
Why does everyone hate on H&R? They are one of the best springs available and they aren't even that much of a drop. The H&R race are much lower and so are the Eibachs. I think H&R makes an awesome spring. It keeps the car the car a little higher in the rear so during accleration the car is level. No FWD car should be higher in the front. And with a level drop all the way around the cars is lowered in the back more during acceleration. All H&R springs are lower in the front and higher in the rear. Plus they are progressive rate springs. Eibachs are great if you buy them in different rates for the front and rear. They are also Linear springs.
I think a lot of peeps are misled buy brand name and looks rather than performance.
