Stage 3? I gotta Clutchmaster stage 2 in my Si. I wouldnt go with anything stiffer if your planning on heavy traffic driving. My stage 2 is stiff nuff to ripp gears through 4th when drivin right. With the abuse that i put mine through it should hold a somewhat easier driver with Supercharger, 50 nos, or small turbo. I talked to a few mechanics before i got mine and they told me that for that stuff its good. Also a stage 3 will more'n likely do 1 of 2 things. Kill your leg in traffic or burn up for tryn to normally drive with it. Even so after a good hour to two in traffic every night im glad i didnt go stage 3.
I'm slow when it comes to these things but when I went to the site the stage 2 and 3 were the same price so i figured I might as go with the stage 3 because it was built to hold more power. So if you frive a stage three regular it will burn : I do not understand that shit.
I have a Clutchmasters stage 1 now. Lasted me about 32000 miles. Its got great grip. But my new clutch (coming friday) is an
ACT-H5-XTSS. Can't wait to see what its like.
my buddy had the CM stage 3 on his turbo si and then took the turbo off, so he only had the clutch and stock motor w/ Intake. That motherfucker was bad as shit and was the fastest si that i've readen in with only intake. the clutch grips like a mofo and easily chirps 1,2,3,4, and 5. However it is to agressive for everyday use. Go with something lighter.

Aight heres what ive learned bye messing with clutches. There are stages 1 being little stiffer than stock trough 5 that is full out race aka. full instant inagement. Stage 2 is good for slight mods up to small turbos, superchargers and 50 shot of nos. Then u go to a stage 3 thats for 100 shots up and bigger psi on the turbos and supercharger. Stage 3 is not recomended for everyday driving. For 3 reasons the force needed to push the clutch to release the pressure plate, A whole lot harder to push than stock. #2 Its very grabby unless u have a whole lot of power to make the clutch have some give aka. spining the clutch against the flywheel. If your making enough power the clutch will have enough spin and force to slide across the flywheel. If you dont have enough it will just grab like crazy and be very hard to controll your take off. It will tend to stall when u use it like a normal clutch. Now #3 i said before it will burn out faster. Reasons are 1 it is made of a much softer compound than a stage 2 and having a harder spring rate in the pressure plate. #2 from it being so stiff you will have to ride the clutch on normal take off wich will burn it out fast. Im not positive but i also think a stage 3 is a puck design and for street use and road race use u wanna stay away from them. The pucks have awsome grab and holding power but are not meant for constant shifting purposes.
An Excedy organic would be enough for me right? I don't think I would need to go with the cerametallic. But I'm not sure, that is why I'm asking. I'm not too familiar with clutch holding power and how much is required for certain set ups. Thanks guys.

A kevlar/carbon clutch is good nuff. I did talk to a freind tonight that is running a stage 3. He likes it but says it gets a little bit of a pain to keep pushing it in while sitting at lights or in traffic. Kinda like what i was sayn in my last few posts.
i have a cm stage 3 clutch in my 99 gs-r. I is is good, but i spin my tires shifting into second way too much. If you look in Super Street, there is a page that shows some good deals. one of them is a cm stage 3 clutch, w/ a cm flywheel, and phantom grip LSD. this will help your car alot.
