Question whats beter a zc sohc or a dohc

yea i have heard that the zc dohc are to old and not so reliable and they are slower but that the sohc is beter and more hp can u tell me how much hp they have i will apresheate this very much

As far as I know the DOHC has a slightly better base horsepower rating. The DOHC version is equally as reliable as the SOHC zc. The second cam doesn't make it any less reliable.

Two cams isn't everything. But it sure as heck doesn't hurt!

Don't quote me on this but I think the HP is something like:

SOHC: 125
DOHC: 130

In the Civic section (not Civic Si) under the D-Series Tech subsection you will find more answers to questions about ZC motors.
