Will 18 x 7.5 inch wheels rub?

I was wondering if putting wheels this large on my 00 si would hurt the drivability of the car and if the tires would rub. I have eibach sportlines if that makes any difference. Or would some 17 x 7.5 be better? hmmm...

more than likely the 18s will rub. The 17x7.5 have a possibility of rubbing all depending on tire size as well as off set. ANy more info on which rims or tirres ur lookin into?? also how big is ur drop?

Its a 1.8 in drop. The OZ superlagerras look pretty nice. I would really like some Volk te-37's, but dont happen to have 2500 grand lying around

Would it be better to just go with a 7 in width. Will half an inch make much of a difference?

I've got the Giovanna Nagano 18x7.5's and I've rubbed a few times, so you'll probably rub.

shit, if i put 18x7.5's on my car, i would rip my fenders off. i think 17x7 would be plenty good. i guess it depends if you are going show or not. i know a guy with 18x? velox rims and his inside of his fenders are all chewed up. i would go 17x7, but thats just me.

Yea, I think ill go with some 17's. I saw a civic with 18's earlier today and it looked kinda goofy, like it was trying too hard to be cool or something, i dont know. Tires for 18's are too expensive anyway.

I believe they are 15x6. I don't rub too bad, make sure your wheel wells are rolled too. The 18's look pretty badass if you ask me.

They look cool as long as the car is lowered a little.

I just dont want to go into a turn really hard and look back to see half of my 200 dollar tire lying in the middle of the street.

I also heard that having 18 in wheels actually makes ur car slower. Is this true? And does having larger wheels mess with the speedometer?

EDIT: I dont want to rub at all. It damages the car+tire, hurts the cars performance, and is dangerous. I do think they look cool and would put them on if i knew they wouldnt rub.

Of course it'll make it slower(weight for one thing), but it'll handle that much better. Plus it looks cooler.

Mine weigh 22 which isn't that much more than the Si's(17lbs?). I'm thinking about getting the Rota Circuit 8's, the Mugens cost way too much.
