Question 2002 RSX-S indicator light

I had the code read and it is P1166. I am not sure this is the proper place to ask, but does anybody know what this means, and what potential solutions (or how to get the little engine icon light to go off) may be? Thanks!

Listen up you god damn newb.

1. Shut off car and quit racing for a second.
2. Put keys in off postion
3. Press down on Odometer reset, you should be parked somewhere
4. Turn key w/o clutch in....hold it in for 6 seconds
5. Light should go off

now go god damn race

I tried your advice, and was very impressed with the quick turnaround and recognition of my newb status. However, the little engine icon looking light still burns. Any other ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Fred

No luck, but thanks

I tried all diff ways to reset the little light that looks like an engine(between the oil and batt idot lights...not the maint reqd light) with the reset button and the key positions and no luck. I checked the fuses that Fred J suggested and they were all fine. I am thinking the sensor is shot, and if so it just does not allow you to reset the indicator light ? I have an extended 100K warranty, and only 91K on it, so I would think this is covered under the warranty, and as Misinformation and Super-Te... suggested I think I will have the 02 sensor replaced. If any other ideas please shout out, if not, thanks to all of you guys for the help. I hope the sensor is not too critical or damaging to the engine (it runs fine)??

if it's under warranty why haven't you just taken it to the dealer?

Going to the dealer

I thought it would be a simple, not too risky, code to determine the prob and to reset. I was wrong and called the dealer today to take it in. Thanks again to all.
