I just bought a 2004 Auto RSX for 14,xxx.. it had 39k miles on it, prestine condition, and acura certified.
Was it worth it? I'm not looking to race and everything, just have a daily driver that's fun to drive, and sporty looking.. Was there something better that I could have gotten for under 15k, used?
I would like a tiny bit more performance (stuff for under 1k in total.. I'm broke), for stoplight acceleration, there are a bunch of people with tC's and Mustangs / similar cars around here that rev against me, and I usually can keep next to them up to the speed limit in sportshift. Yea, it's lame, but it's just for a kick or two on daily driving.
Then i'd get NGK,MSD, hks or nology Iridium spark plugs(iridium provides the best spark and lasts long) and a set of msd, ngk or nology spark plug wires. All that will cost you about $120 at most.If you want more performance than an unorthodox pulley-$280.http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/
The injen cold air intake will give you about 5-8Hp. The iridium spark plugs and performance spark plug wires will give you 1-2Hp. The Unorthodox Ultra SS Pulley would give you 2-5Hp. So at best your looking at a 10-15Hp gain. The final cost would be $675. With money left over for wheels or a rsx type-s wing.
This is it, I like the way the wing/spoiler looks.. but meh, I dunno if I would like it better without it, or with it.
Congrats on the car bro. I bought mine used for around what you paid and mine is manual. Car looks good either way with or with out the wing. Check out clubrsx.com I signed up there when i got my NBP and so much info on these cars you want to know.

Yea, I had signed up there, but a friend told me about these forums and said they were more active
The only thing about CRSX I don't like, is the egos.. that and the ten posts before creating a thread rule. But ohwell
at 39k miles you have no reason to replace spark plugs. yours are just fine with factory everything. dont waste money on that.
get a used cai. dont point in spending top dollars to mod an auto especially if you're just looking at it as a daily. honestly, i wouldn't try to mod the hell outta it. it just isn't worth the money. intake would be as far as i go with performance stuff.
congrats on the purchase and it sounds like a great deal. enjoy the car.
