So my names scott and ive had my 06 rsx since last july got like 20k on the odo and its about time for some serious mods. So far i have the aem v2 cai, dc sports headers, and apexi ws exhaust. Want it to be all motor so no forced induction and my main goal is to beat mustang gt's bc i hate them. So should i get hondata reflash, or apexi vafc with a tune, whats the pros and cons of each, if i get the vafc do i need to do something to get more fuel dumpin in? eventually i know i want to do cams too, so whats the best order to do these things and what other supporting mods do i need to do
I would go with valvetrain first, mabie skunk2 valves+springs+retainers, check out inline4.com they carry all the JDM aftermarket stuff for hondas, so does japanparts.com and I also like takakaira.co.jp for performance parts, also you should get an ARC intake.
good set-up but K-Pro, Buddy club Race header, IPS cams, flat face valves, springs and retainers, 3" exhaust, RBC intake manifold, FULL motor mounts, and a Exedy stg. 1 clutch with a good flywheel, LSD IS A MUST!, walbro fuel pump and 440cc injectors should put you around 240 or better...same set-up w/ Toda cams (minus) the injectors went 246.7hp/181.3tq on the dyno last week (fuel cut's a BITCH!)
Here's the parts that your going to need to beat those stupid stangs.
-camshafts
-cam gears
-throttle body
-intake manifold
-iridium spark plugs
-spark plug wires
-hondata
-port and polish
-lightweight crank pulley
-short shifter

It's funny how little people know and yet they post shit like they know anything. 330cc injectors? Stock is 310, I guess that bump in 20cc's will yield a huge gain. And the rest of the bolded shit speaks for itself.
Depends on what year of Mustang you are looking to beat. Most will take a minimum of H/E/I and K-pro. Any modded ones will take cams and the appropriate valvetrain and maybe even a bump in compression, and even then you're going to be hard pressed to take a stang if they are modded. Just go turbo then you have nothing to worry about.

Agreed...FINALLY SOME1 THAT KNOWS WTF THERE TALKING ABOUT IN THIS FORUM!
yes cams, porting polish, bore increase, stoker kit would be killer, lighten up the car is key, power increase is hard unless u have thousands to spend, vafc is for drag race type of speed, u might need hondata to get large increase, pulley light flywheel better clutch is key!!
Go tubo and turn up the boost. That is the only way to really beat one for sure and trust me it will be worth it. My room mate had a 02 rsxtpe-s with all the mods and supercharger. I don't think he had cams though but he was pushing 275whp. He use to keep up ok with me on my old car which was a 98 cobra not on the highway but light to light. Now that i got the evo he would not even race me i got the evo because of his car amazed me with size of the engine and how it would keep up with my v8. So now i am all about beating the hell out of v8. The only v8 that i lost to yet is a corvete
