Type S' head flows better and its rated at 200hp compared to 160. Revs to 8000rpms compared to like 6000something. and of course 6spd is better. To put a k20 in your civic, its gonna cost you. Contact HASport. they are working on motor mounts.

blue skittle is on a distinguished road
one of the biggest things that make the base rsx and the type-s different in that the base if a 5-speed and the type-s is a 6-speed. that means the gear ratio for the 6-speed is going to be a lot closer. and also the compression ratio is 11:1 and the base i believe is more like a 7 or 8:1. if your looking to turbo your ride your better of going with the base rsx. or if you want all motor power the type-s is the better choice.

high compression engines can be turbocharged just as well as lower comp ones...they just have a much smaller margin for error in the tuning. I've built a 300+whp sc'd k20a2, many miles later no issues...the secret to "better" is in the tune.
