I am looking at buying an 06 RSX Type S with 4037 miles. It is in excellent condition and barely driven. I would be paying 21k for it. The only downside i see is that it is at a nissan dealership instead of an acura. What do you guys think. I most likely will be buying on saturday.

Got a link to the dealer. Sounds like a really good deal. I wouldn't be to concerned that it is being sold at a Nissan dealer. The only downside is that the car will not be certified. No biggie though, you can take it to your local Acura dealer and get it certified.

That is high for that, For 20 grand you could get something else like an older NSX, CL type-s with a 6 speed or 350Z. I think you will get bored with a RSX and when you decide to get rid of it you will still have alot of money that has to be payed back and then you will go into your next car deal upside down. That car is only worth 17grand no matter what the miles are

Also true. I had an 06 type S for a year. Got bored as shit, traded for an s2k.

Well wholesale on the car is 19300. I am paying about 18 and some change + taxes and everything to take me to 20. would i be better off getting an 07 si? I have a very close friend that works at honda that claims he can get me a employee price. I have always liked the rsx's and wanted one and i thought since miles were low that it might be a good deal. I know here in socal i see dealers advertising for up to 25k with about 35-40k miles on it. I am going to drive an SI on sat now and just see if i like it.

I'd like to see you get an 06 350z or 03 CL-S for 20k with only 4k on the odometer(at an authorized dealer). 2 of the 3 cars you mentioned really are not that practical also. And most people get bored with whatever car they buy.
And 2006 RSX-S are still pulling 22k with less than 45k on it just about everywhere you look. I'd say if you could talk them down to between 18-19.5k then buy it if you like it. As for the Si, remember you will not be getting all of the "luxury" factor of the Type S, but you do get a little bit better overall performance out of the Si. Good luck either way.

That is what I was looking for was the luxury factor. I know it isnt much...but leather seats. I am not big on the blose system.
I do get bored very easy. I have gone through 7 cars in the last 7 years. I am looking for something that is sporty and that will be a good daily driver. I will be buying a house in the next few months and want to keep my payments real low. I will see about talking them down more. I am in no hurry so if it doesnt look like a good deal i am walking.

Its also not to practical to pay that much for a car that isn't made any more when he could just buy an SI new for little more. And as far as the miles go you know with a Honda it doesn't matter.

Just buy a new SI you will pay more but you will be happier and the payments won't be much different if any difference at all because they can finance you longer. The car you are buying is already 2 years old when you pay it off it will be 4 more years from now. And in all honesty I would get my new house first and set that up and then look into a new car.

the new si doesn't have leather seats. plus the rsx looks better. the si has lsd, but i haven't seen anyone getting any decent 60ft times in one. the rsx is a little lighter, too (i think). btw the honda dealership in hoover, al sells the new si for retail
