why do people continue with these can i use reg gas threads.
if u wanna be a cheap fu*ck and save .40 cents or so every time u fill up and not give ur car the gas it requires...then go ahead.
even if u do save a $1 a fill up....ur still gonna waste more gas cuz ur car is gonna dump more fuel to make up for such a low octane. ur also gonna start knockin and pinging and feeling slugish. if u really cant afford the extra $1 when u fill up then get rid of ur car asap.

agreed, people should not be cheap and pay for the right gas, but its more like a $3 per fill up difference, still not a big deal. but your car won't dump additional fuel to make up for octane levels. lower octane will just ignite sooner, causing the pings.

less then $3. over here in jersey the average for reg is $2.91 and 93 is $3.13 a gallon.
if u put $20 of reg ur getting 6.8 gallons.
$20 or 93 gets u 6.3 gallons.
so by using reg u only get a half gallon more....is it worth it?
ur only saving .22 cents a gallon.
so if u put 12 gallons...
12x2.91= $34.92
12x3.13= $37.56
u save $2.64.
yea it is $2.64 every time....but is it worth damagin ur motor just to save $2? in the long run ur gonna get poor gas millege and cause damage to ur motor.
if u dont wanna use a certain type of gas...then buy a car that runs off reg.
these are all factors u gotta think about when buying a car.
