RSX stock ignition/starter disabler

I just bought a 2002 RSX-S yesterday as a replacement for my 2000 SI that was stolen & stripped 2 weeks ago.

I called my nearest Acura dealer to see what stock security features the car comes with. They confidently told me the car comes with a keyless entry/ alarm system and a chip in the key that disables the ignition without it.

I'm really paranoid my car is going to get hotwired and stolen again, so does anyone know the validity of this "chip" inside the key and its capabilities??
Has anyone replaced their key before and was it necessary that the dealer issue it because of the "chip"?

Finally, my alarm on the car does not work. The keyless entry works fine but the alarm will not go off when the car is unlocked from the inside and the alarm is armed. Does anyone know what part has failed when this happens?

Any information on these two aspects of the car would be a great help to me.
I'm also lookin for security equipment, so anyone with good experiences, please share.

well i found out all i needed to know about the disabler in the ignition from the acura dealer and any info on the alarm would be helpful.
