RSX vs. GTI 1.8T?

Sup all..

Just curious..whatcha guys think, or which one would you take..the base RSX (5-spd manual of course) or the GTI 1.8T? Is there really a big difference in speed..? ..and would a base RSX beat a stock 99-'00 Si? Just curious..thanks!

The GTI 1.8T is more of a competition for the Type S...and I believe the SI would beat the base RSX...not by much though

I rode in an RSX base last night that had intake and exhaust. I found it a lot less than I expected in terms of torque. the 1.8T probably has the advantage against a base RSX.

GTI 1.8T - 180hp@5500rpm/174lb-ft@1950rpm
Base RSX - 160hp@6500/141lb-ft@4000

good low to mid 15 second car..as I said above, Type S competition..

I would take a 1.8T over the RSX base anyday.

Not just the fact that its faster (the 1.8T) but with the 2 simple mods of increased downpipe and chip, correct me if I'm wrong, but I am 99% sure it will really take off on a RSX-S.

1.8t w/ a chip is similar in performance to rsx-s with intake.

Well considering the lighter 2003 civic sir (in canada si in states) runs 15.8 stock with the same motor as the base rsx I'd say it wouldn't be too peppy.....veedub all the way for this one. Hell the 1.8 t would give the type s a run for it's money.
