Hey man, I took it to the Honda dealership and they put 5w20 in there and I asked them why and they said thats what Honda recommends; even though it says 5w30 on the oil cap....

Is that okay that they did that?

honda changed their recommendations for some vehicles, but no way would I put 20 weight in a car with an 8k redline. Just use your own oil next time.

yeah i agree with kommon_sense there's no way i would put 5w20 in my car unless it was a colder environment. then maybe it could skate by.
