anyways, my gf needs to straighten her hair, but where can she do it in so cal for a reasonable price? she has long hair, prob a lil bit after her shoulder... thanx for the help!

That's becoming a really popular trend in the japanese community, if not asian-american community here in SoCal. I guess they call it "hair straightening" or "thermal hair straightening".

If you have access to local japanese papers like: LA Auto Guide, Bridge, Lighthouse, Sushi & Tofu, etc. they often have ads for such services.

dude, trust me. get her a "CHI", supposedly they work wonders for straightening a girls hair. all the girls i know have them, and wouldn't trade them for anything.

thanx for the help guys... well, my gf currently has a straightener, but her straighten hair will be wavy again in a couple days.... once, she straightened her hair in asia using chemicals and that lasted for months... any idea where she can do that??

Otherwise just let her fingers do the walking in the Yellow Pages. I'm sure a bunch of peeps will have advertisements for that service.

dude no, you can go almost any place and get that done.... the place i go calls it "asian straightning" meaning like BONE straight... like i straighten my hair like a mofo and it still wouldn't be as straight as it would be if i got that done... i think im going to get it done soon though but i want to know how long it lasts...

Werd. I don't think it's like plastic surgery or anything!

I'm sure most licensed beauticians can do it.

Chi Straighteners are the BEST...and she'll probably use it even if she gets a straightener put in her hair, but if she does get the Chi make sure she gets a hair product sush as a finishing gloss because hair straighteners make your hair dried out if you use them all the time. Aveda.com has excellent hair products

how much did that cost?? i straighten my hair so often and always use hair products and it's still somewhat dried out maybe ill look into the monthly thing

yeah, my gf's having the same problem with the dry hair thing... any idea how much that'll cost? in asia, it'll prob cost her US$100... and it's called asian straightening?

you guys could try a conditioning treatment. I know at my salon it costs $60. It should cost more though, it works so great! You get it done like once a month.

i dont know how much it costs... i was there for highlights and she mentioned the straightning cuz she could tell that i straighten my hair a lot... (every day basically)

and i was reading something else that called it Japanese straightning or something...

And Aveda doesn't test their products on animals if that matters to anybody.
