i just got into lynrd skynrd kind of music. anyone know any other band or singer that sing that kind of music.

Southern rock, you mean? The Black Crows have the
sound, somewhat. Allman Brothers. Nothing beats
Skynard, IMO. What albums do you have/listened to?
Johnny Cash is cool , but not the same ROCK, maybe.
EDIT: Every album until after "Street Survivors" are
definitely worth buying. BTW, you can here me screaming
on this one :

drive by truckers are a good southern rock band

and there is seemless, they kick ass, they are southern soul rock

CCR's good, too, IMO. EVERY album is worth buying,
(maybe not the later greatest hits shit). A lot of band's
greatest songs you'll never hear on the radio, IMO, or
find on a "greatest hits" album/CD. You will NEVER
hear Pink Floyd's "Echos" on the radio, for instance,
unless you request it, at 4:00 am . It's one of
my favorite Floyd songs, but it's too long for
"commercial radio".

buy the "goin south" series of discs, both are pretty good, but almost all 70's -early 80's rock is that style try styx, 38 special, etc
