I have been thinking....and my speakers that are in my accord now are kinda weak. Id like to use the stock head unit for anything I get. I would like to get some speakers front and back but I do not know what size ill need. Anyone have any suggestions on upgrading my system? I want to just upgrade a little bit not make it crazy.....Would I have to put a sub in my trunk?

According to crutchfield.com your car accepts 5 1/4" or 6 1/2" speakers all the way around. As far as which speakers to get it all depend on how much you want to spend total and what you goal is. You already said you don't want anything crazy and just wanted "better" sound from your stock head unit.
If the speakers are all that you are changing out, I would recommend some nice coaxial speakers. Alpine type R are pretty decent so are the Pioneer D series coaxial speakers. These speakers will work well on your stock deck. If you plan to upgrade your deck, they will sound even better. After you upgrade your deck, the next step would be to add an amp to those speakers. Most average non audiophile will stop there. The next step you can upgrade your front speakers to a component set or add another amp and a sub depending on how much SQ you want.
If you should put a sub or not it all depends on you. A sub will greatly improve the overall sound quality of the system. You don't need to go crazy with the sub if you don't want to. You can get a small 8" or 10" sub and it will improve the SQ a lot.

i come off like an ass in these situations often, so let me first say that i'm not trying to be a prick.
look around your interior. is there a sub already installed there (i honestly don't know.. again not being mean)? if not, and you don't see anywhere to put one, then yeah. you'll need to put it in the trunk. are you worried about losing trunk space, or what?
Well I put a lot of things in my trunk and I also have a Crossfire that has a really small sub in the back where the seats lean......I did not know if I could put a SMALL sub under the seat or something. I do not know a whole hell of a lot about audio sorry.

see that's what i mean. no apologies man i wasn't trying to dog you in any way.
you can always get a little creative with your box and amp mounting.. or does jl or mtx make a "stealthbox" style (well with jl it'd be the actual stealthbox) enclosure for your ride?
Lol I have no Idea that why I was asking lol....I was looking on Crutch and saw this....

those are 5 1/4" component speaker sets (2 each of... 5 1/4" midbass for the stock spot, a tweeter either for the other stock spot or for you to mount somewhere else.. it's easy, and a crossover to split the signal between the two).
