At best buy most likely they have that speaker connected to an amp so it will sound a lot better then if you use your stock head unit to power them.(I am assuming that is what you will do).
Personally I think pioneer speakers sucks, but I am used to spending 3-4 times that price for speakers. But overall, they are decent for stock replacement. If you are just hooking them up without upgrading your deck and an amp, they will sound a little bit better then your stock. It won't have as much bass as the stock, but it will be more clear. Also you have a greater chance of "clipping" the speakers if you don't add an amp. Clipping when the speakers get distorted and you hear a mudded or popping sound when you turn it up too high.

Trust me when I say this, get an aftermarket amp to power the speakers even if you are using a stock deck. It will make it sound 10x better. Even a cheap decent amp for $50 will make a big difference in the sound quality with those speakers.

For a little bit over $100, you can get this speakers on ebay.

I have the same thing but the older model (05 I think) for my wife's corolla. Of course I added an amp to the system, but it was a cheap amp 4 channel amp that I bought for about $100. It did the job and it sounded a lot better then stock.
