it really depends on what your into, bass, high's, shit like that. personally, i like pioneer's for da front. you can get some good ones for 40 a pair. and for subs i like MTX. Just go to circuit city or best buy and you can test them out. it also depends on your stereo. you can't have a shitty stereo and expect to have best sounding speakers. just come up with a cool lil combo.

Do your research, look at/listen to all you can and make a decision based upon what you like and what is in your budget.
IMO JL Audio is the best, a bit more pricey but you get what you pay for.
MTX, Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate, Alpine... ect. are all good brands.
Well I looked at BB and liked some pioneers thought they had good bass and good quality overall....I was just wanting to know what you guys think are the best.....Id like to get some good speakers for my front doors, rear deck, and maybe a small sub. Id also like to run it all off the stock HU.

my system hits real hard. but also depends on your car too. If you have a bigger car then you need bigger subs. simple as that cuz your bass doesn't sound as loud. i have a 95 civic so my car is small. i have 150 watt pioneers inside all connected to a small 300 watt mtx amp, and 2 15' MTX thunderpro subs connected to 2300 watts rockford fosgate. all run up to my Sony Xplod stereo.

If you really want crystal clear music quality you'll need to either replace the factory HU or at least get some sort of sound processor to enhance the capability of your factory unit. I'm also not the biggest fan of Best Buy/Circuit City when it comes to car audio; the only things I've bought from there recently is the adapter harnesses so I could avoid splicing wires to run my HU. I'd check local stores dedicated to car audio and also you can look Find Car Audio/Video Gear that Fits Your Vehicle at Crutchfield!
They have an awesome array of products, my favorite place to shop for car audio. As for brands, I too am a fan of JL Audio for subs/amps. Rockford Fosgate still makes pretty decent amps and subs too. For HUs, I personally am dedicated to Alpine. Functionally, they're top of the line IMO. As for components, JL Audio is good, as well as Focal, Polk, Infinity, etc.
subs: kicker L5 or L7 all day! for smaller space (my silverado ss) i run with the L5's and for bigger spaces (prefer sealed for trunks/ported for suv/hatchbacks) i run with L7's... some of the cheaper/quality stuff. gives you all the bass you need without going broke.. is it really worth paying 600 bucks for a sub just to turn it up loud so you can show off? who ever really turns their stereo up other than just to show their friends?
mids/highs: jl audio all day! only saying that because that is all i ever used.. if you got the factory bose stuff (not found in hondas) they work good, just add a amp and some subs.. i run the factory bose stuff in my ss, clear as day, no need for upgrading anything but subs..
power: rockford for clean/quality system, audiobahn/digital audio for budget systems
wiring/caps: rockford for quality, voodoo for budget systems
decks: like stock for factory look (if you know how to tune your system, stock decks work just as good as aftermarket), clarion otherwise
