i want a dvd screen and player in my dash but I dont want to spend the 1000 and up for the name brand stuff. What I want to ask is if the screen is up and I'm not playing a movie, will there be anything on the monitor screen like station or screen savers or anything? What about other combos like a Clarion screen with no built in dvd like the 630 using a non-name brand in dash dvd player? will this show anything on the screen when not playing a movie or game?

also does anybody have any experience with this dvd screen/player combo? it seems like a good price. can you hook up 2 separate monitors to it?

any help is appreciated.

I've heard lots a people say good things and bad things about Pyle. Personally, I would rather buy a used Alpine screen than a brand new Pyle. It plays CD's so that should show up on the screen when you are not playing DVD's. I would also rather buy the Clarion Screen you were talking about, and a generic dvd player.

I installed a complete Pyle system in a customers car recently.

4 speakers
sub amp
subs
and let me say, it sounded like complete shit. with car audio you get what you pay for
