I don't think you can keep the AFB system on your prelude. From my understanding the AFB works well on a stock system because it cuts down on distortion by cutting of certain freq in the rear. If you are upgrading all of your speakers, you won't have to worry about that because your aftermarket speakers will sound a lot better and have less distortions then those crappy stock one.
If you want to leave the rear speakers alone, and just amp the front, the easiest and cheapest way is to get a 2 channel amp and amp the front. Since you already upgraded your front speakers with coaxial, there is no need to add another tweeters since your coaxial already have one.
With $300 you have a lot of room to work with on buying an amp.

Since you have all alpine product, why not go with an alpine amp?

What would I personally do?
I would get that RF limited edition amp and upgrade the front speakers to a component speakers. Since you don't plan to get subs, those coaxial speakers, your system will really lack bass. Components are by no means replacement for subs, but the bass can kick a lot harder then coaxial. I would leave the rear speakers alone and let the HU power that. I am no a fan of "wasting" money on the rear most of the time you will hear the sound from the front.
