Subs sound good, but what happened to the ones you already ordered? I thought they just hadn't sent 'em yet, and the amp was unavailable. As for amps, I'd stick with one of the following brands: Alpine, JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, MTX, or Audiobahn. I know there's probably a couple brands I'm not thinking about, but those are my favorites. For two of those Kickers you'll need an amp putting down about 800-1000 watts x 1 at 2 ohms, just so you know....

the subs are backordered for 40-60 days!!!
I've read good stuff about Hifonics, nothing bad so far, and that amp would put out 800 watts easily (since both subs RMS at 400)
so i think i'm either going to get that Hifonics amp (heard good stuff about it) or i'm gonna get this
Phoenix Gold V8001 Amp: Mono
because someone recommended me that brand if i can afford it (which i can )

Awesome man, glad to hear it! What you might look at for the license plate on your trunk is to get some window insulation or something similar and cut it into little squares and place it behind the holes for the screws on your plate and screw it through the insulation. It'll dampen the rattling sound you tend to get from the plate vibrating against the trunk...
Take some photos of the setup and post 'em up so we can see what you're workin with

foam tape works great for the license plate. peal it then stick it on the back.

Yeah, like the 3M stuff...that's what I was thinking about aside from the window stuff.

right b/c my opinion doesn't matter? you've been hanging on his balls this whole thread. your an idiot. completely ignoring everything I had to say. I'm even willing to bet if he told you to put a 200 watt amp on a 1000watt sub you would do it

well there's two ideas i've got. maybe he would say that the foam is actually a better idea. it's actually more about which one i find first. and btw, i didn't get a single part that he recommended, i just got ideas from him. you're an idiot for getting mad over me asking his opinion on window insulation vs. foam tape. obviously i didn't ignore what you said because i asked him about it. i actually probably would've gotten the foam tape since it'd probably be quicker for me to get. btw, is the tape easy to remove without peeling any paint?
