sony amp problem...help!!!

my friend has a sony amp and the overcurrent light is on....what does that mean?....the amp isn't working anymore.....is it possible to fix it?

the connections is the first thing u should look at when the protection circit is on. take off all speakers first and try it, if the light is still on check your remote wires and main power lines. then check ur ground and check if the guage of ur wires meets the requirments of ur amp.

It basically means that sony amps suck and you need to send it back for warranty. I have seen this just this weekend on my buddy's brand new sony 4 channel ES amplifier. This is the second time I have seen this problem at my shop.

Very common problem with sony amps...I think it is a design flaw that they fix during repair.
