Subs make boom noise when i change cds

when i either, 1) put my head unit in, 2) change cds, 3) head unit is left in and i turn my car on, my subs make a quick but somewhat loud boom noise. Why does it do that? I have a phoenix gold 8.0:1 and it is powering 2 infinity 1230 w's. Any help will be appreciated. o and my stereo is a pioneer deh 7600mp

sounds like someone hooked your remote turn on wire to your switched wire on your radio.

yea that could be it. when wiring the remote turnon there should be a delay before the amps turn on.
