Those are not really progressive springs. I believe that they are called "Helper" springs. You get multiple springs with varying rates. The little guy helps keep tension on the big spring and soaks up the little bumps. I believe that ground control offers similar setups.

After installing the H&Rs, I noticed that handling is very balanced, I have more steering and less body roll, so no real understeer problems. It will be interesting to see what happens with the 16mm rear in place

the reason for this if because the rear springs on the H&R sport springs are closer matched (spring rate wise) than the prokits. this accounts for more oversteer characteristics. Thats one thing I loved about my H&R race springs...cloesly matched springs for better oversteer characteristics.

Common Sense...no pics of the car before/after? Damn .
I'm getting H&R's for the Nissan, one day . Was
going to get Eibach's, (the pro-kit), but my Nissan has
a serious wheel gap problem in the front. Everything
I've read on the Nissan boards suggests that both are
fine products, but the H&R's are better for that extra
1/4 inch lower in the front.
What cheap, (non-adjustable), shocks would be cool
with those? I was looking at KYB's; any suggestions?

KYB's are good for the price, whyd you say non-adjustable though? KYB's are adjustable if you didnt know. Bilstein HD's are non-adjustable, their about $450 for a set though.

I was going to get the KYB GR-2's, which they say are
non-adjustable: http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/S...=perf&x=34&y=6.
I wanted to keep the price under $500.00, and these,
with the H&R's, looked like a good setup for my Nissan,
the daily driver, or "beater" .

I dont think i'd get the non-adjustable ones by KYB, their just more of a oem replacement strut. You'd prolly be better off just riding on your stockies.

Hey kommon do you have a pic of your car with the H&Rs. I want to see how low it is with the 15s.

Right now I have maxspeed coilovers (came that way when I bought it) and it rides way to bouncy/stiff. This is even with agx shocks holding it back. So I think I want to go with some springs since I heard that almost all coilovers ride really stiff. I was thinking of going with H&R. But I want my car to really handle well for track days, so im thinking of the H&R race springs. I know they will be stiff but I wouldnt think it would be as bad as it is now with these shitty maxspeeds. But I would want to see how low it is with the sports and race springs before I buy. I kind of want to keep my car the same height it is now. Front tires are barley up in the fenders I would say an inch. I have 15 GSR rims. And the rear top of the tires are about dead even with the wheels wells.

Thanks, Matt

Thanks. I think im going to go with the H&R race. With the 14s it looks like there is a small gap between the top of the tire and the fender. I want it to be at least even or barley past it.

Thanks,Matt

If you are more concerned with height then you should look into some coilovers or coilover sleeves such as ground controls. Also when I lowered my ex, there was barely any gap between the wheel well and tire and I scrubbed when making sharp turns. I raised it back up a notch using the konis and now my gap looks about the same as vtecaddict's.
