Need help picking new tires

hey guys i have absolutely no knowledge about tires so i need some help picking them out. i went through tirerack and started reading reviews from there and other forum as well but i am still indecisive. i am just look for tires under 400 and so far i came up with:

Kumho Solus KH16
Yokohama AVID H4S
Bridgestone Potenza G 019 Grid (heard the previous version was rated #1)
Toyo Proxes 4

off topic: should i switch to 06 si rims? my brother has them and doesn't use it.

Go with the Proxes on the SI wheels. Any Proxes at under $100/tire is a good deal.

toyo proxes 4 is a very good choice for a high performing all season tire.

I can only comment on the Toyo Proxes4 because those are the only ones from the list that I've owned.
I've put about 15k miles on them and so far no issue. I have them on a AWD car but traction is very good in dry/wet/snow. The sidewalls are a bit soft but steering response is still very good. I have them in 245/40-17's on 17x8 rims.
