Cool PLEASE explain rim colors!! ARGHH

Okay, I have been shopping around for wheels for a while now and I gotta say the whole deal with rim colors is driving me nuts. Could someone please explain what these colors ACTUALLY look like??

Here's an example of why this is driving me nuts: I see these wheels on a car and they look very silver...almost chrome so im like "oh cool". The description says they're opal. So now I am looking at those same wheels on another site (the opal versions) and they're like practically brown looking!!

Basically the only reason I'm confused about this is because I haven't seen wheels and be told what color they are in person so that I could compare them. I just see all these pictures on the net and everything looks so different in every picture...the cameras, lighting, etc...

Hypersilver
Hyperblack
Gunmetal
Opal
Silver

---What are the differences?? Thanks guys. Sorry about this.

We've been down this road before... Actually the rims forum isn't that old, so when the search function comes back up you can easily find those threads again.

Don't forget: slate, slate grey, satin vs. matte finish, etc. etc. Tis very confusing...

honestly I don't have time to go and read/sift through every single post in the 4 pages of posts. I did a search and came up empty handed. If anyone wants to really throw themself out on a limb and answer what I would like to know in a BRIEF explaination (because thats all I deserve apparently since I don't have 30 minutes to spend looking for this), I would really appreciate it.
