Question question about max tire size on rotas on ek civic

98 civic ex w/2" drop....

16" rota slipstreams....

happen to have a brand new set of bf goodrich 245/50ZR16's that we came across as a parts swap.

will they fit the wheels and/or will they rub anywhere??

if so, then what width and offset would I need to run these tires?? They just look toooo good to just sit there but I understand that they are relatively "meaty" so that's why I'm asking...

Those tires need a rim that is a minimum of 7" wide and will fit to a max of 8.5" wide. Anywhere in between is fine, as this allows the tires to work at their design flex point on the sidewalls. Can't help you about the car although they do seem kind of wide from what I have read on most Civics, seems the largest tires most people use is a 215. Also the 245/50/16 has an overall diameter of 25.65" which also is on the large side.

ok, but they'll fit on a 7" wheel?? cool, I was looking at some 7" wide ones too (like a bit better than the slipstreams anyway). Anyone know what the biggest 16" a civic can accomodate??

I belive Civic can not handel up 245 tires , And these tires as I belive will not allow your car to turn 5 degree corner which it's mean you will just be able to drive in a strate line

,,, I ask some pro tuners , which they tell me best fit for civic rims + tires is ,, 205/45/16

civic will be able to handel 205/45/17 but you will not get some turens perfactly

for best car handeling go for 205/45/16 , , Which I'm going to fit on my civic very soon , take in car , bigger tires will effect your car preformance , so don't just go for it

I belive if your car is not modified yet , I preafre you put on a new exhust system + headers for an incress of Hp between 10 up to 20 hp ,, whic will balance your car preformance with the new rims + tires

ANd good luck

Those are WAYYYYY to big for ur car. and with a 2 inch drop will rub really bad. Get the right size 205/45/16.
