question about a suspension upgrade on my lude
ok guys, i dont know too much about the aftermarket portion of car suspension as far as brands go. but i am a mechanic so please dont try explaining it to me like im a noob lol.
i need new struts on the rear of my lude. it sat for about 2 years with a beat engine and not too long ago i dropped an h22 into it. well the suspension isnt quite how i remember it. seems the struts took a dump on me. feels like im falling 3 feet when i go over a bump lol. so i found these on ebay for an awesome price and i was wondering if it would be a good combo. anyone tried em? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOKIC...02966459QQrdZ1 . and for when the auction is over, and this thread still lives, they are tokico blues, with springs. its their spring/strut combo. i know there are better out there, but this is in my price range, and the struts arent a stock replacement like the kyb agx's.

I've heard people say good things about the blues. i don't know of the quality of the springs though. i know it would kill two birds with one stone. but go and price the blues by themselves, then something like H&R springs.
edit: well that ends up being like 525 or so......and you said that the other was your price range. well your paying basically for the strut.....then a very cheap spring it seems

i kow tokico is a verry reputable suspension company, and ive ben doing some research (could only find mostly miatas for some reason) with the strut/spring combo from them. they said that the strut/spring combo is a cerry good setup. then ive heard other miata people pitting like say, the eibach pro kit with the struts and had some problems like the rear was higher then it is stock, and verry uncomfortable ride and all that jazz. so im still debating, just under $400 is not something to just throw away for me these days. money isnt coming easy at all (especially with a 4 month old baby), so i wanna make sure and make the right decision.

well, if all else fails just buy new OEM struts to replace them. thats will be much cheaper
