Rims in bad shape need help ASAP

I got rims with partially stripped clearcoat and lotta curb checks on 2 of them , does high speed buffing at a body shop help this or is there anyone that can fix curb checks? Also, on the clearcoat, is there anything out there that will help?

What type of wheels are they? Aluminum?

If they are aluminum they are easy to fix. First, there is no way to fix the edge of the clear coat vs the rest of the wheel. You need to sand your rims. Not only will sanding remove the entire clear coat, but it will remove the nicks and gashes when the wheels were curbed.

All you have to do is wet sand the dish and lip with many different grits of paper. Wet sand in this order, 150, 220, 400, 600, 800/1000 + grit. Once you are finished take some "neverdull" and polish the entire area that you sanded. Then if you want, you could have them clear coated - but there really is no need.

It takes me about 3 hours of wet sanding for each 17" wheel, but I make sure I get every nick and ding out.

Your only investment is time, sandpaper and "neverdull." That should run around $10 to $15 -

Oh you could wet sand them while they are on your car, but I find it easier to lay them horizontally and stack them up because it allows a better grip on the sand paper.

Trial, yes they are 95 GS-R rims, and they are aluminum, so basically by sanding, and polishing with never dull i don't have to get em clearcoated again? Is that ok for salt and winter time? I just want to shine them up and restore em to like new condition. Would the curb damage on the lip be fixed by sanding by hand?

Yes - do all the sanding by hand. Just follow the contour of the wheel. Get them clear coated if you want to.
