I'v been looking into Rota Slipstreams 15x6.5, and an offset question/problem has come up. I wanted to order these with offset 45, since 45 is the standard offset of a civic, right?
Now most people seem to be driving Slipstreams with offset 40, and some have suggested offset 45 might not fit: the spokes would rub the brake-claws.
Why not go with 7" wide rim? That way you can get the +40mm offset and some 205/50-15 tires.

Point is I want offset 45 and not 40 or other, regardsless of rim width. It could be however that with 7' width the spokes would not rub, as they would be further away from the center as with 6.5 width offset 45.
