Time for new Tires

After 56k miles on my Good Year Triple treads I am ready for a new set of tires. The Triple Treads treated me well but they are dry rotting so its time for some one ones.

Any advice for a good set of all season tires for an 2001 Accord V6? I have stock rims on the car so the tires should be 206/60/16.

From what I have read so far it looks like the Toyo Proxy, Falken 912, and Yokohama H4s might be good tires. Or I might go wit my usual Michelin or Good Year offerings.

please use the tirerack's tire decision guide for some initial reference:

Tire Decision Guide

it's a great start...

and try to be honest about the tire you choose...

many ricers buy tires that they have no business buying, like extreme performance/dot race compounds, yet do nothing other than cruise back and forth to school/work only going straight... never hitting up a high performance driving event...

Thanks for the helpful advice. I think it looks like one of the Good Year Assurance tires will be right for me. They are just so much more expensive than the tires I listed at first. I guess thats the price you pay to get the right tire on your car.

i always use that tool first myself, and then decide from there, whether or not tirerack sells the tires i end up buying (cough*falken azenis rt615*cough) for autocrossing...

though i am buying a new set of hawk hp plus brake pads for the upcoming season from them!

yup, they do...

and ironically, you can get that tire at sears auto now!

wait a second... now it makes sense... sears auto IS sponsoring a car in formula d, and they DO use the azenis on that car and in most of the field...

and there just so happens to be a sears auto on the way to the local autocross event... soooooo

but i'm still getting my pads from TIRERACK!!!

I'd recommend the toyo proxes 4. its a good all season. I'm planning on putting them on both of my vehicles.
