1gen b16a with hydro tranny

my friend has a rg and he has a hydro tranny but he wants to know if he can hook it up 2 a cable tranny b16a its for a eg

Did he buy the hydro or did it come with the engine? Most 1st gen b16s come with cable trannys, while the 2nd gens came with the hydros. Anyhow, I wouldn't see why you couldn't put the cable back on there, as long as it's a b-series tranny it will work.
There is an abundance of cable trannies every where too, so it shouldn't be hard to find one. Due in part to the fact that most people go with the hydro trannys. It seems easier to shift than the cable tranny does to me, that's why I'm after the hydro.

he has a eg and he got a deal on a b16a 1st gen complete swap but he has a 95 gsr tranny and he wants 2 hook it up 2 the 1st gen b16a can he do it

Yes you could do it. I thought he had a a seperate tranny on the side. But, as long as the trannies are B-series they will bolt up to one another. Tell me how it turns out.
