b16a1 vs b16a2

physically, what are the differences? i know that the 1st gen had 10 less hp and that it has a little different compression ratio, but i was wondering about the wiring? did the b16a1 have a map sensor? are the wiring harnesses completely different for the first and second gens? is there any way to tell by looking on the block which gen you have (valve covers can lie)?

First gen have:
milky white plugs (electrical),1 million series engine code,different distributor
second gen has:
gray plugs,5 million series engine code,number 3 (usdm says b16a3 for the second gen and b16a2 for the 3rd gen).

b16a has:
158hp
111lbs of tq
10.2:1 compression
cable tranny,non-obd distributor and ecu

sir2 (second gen jdm)has
168 hp
116lbs of tq
10.4:1 compression
hydrolic tranny and obd-1

usdm b16a2/3
160hp
111lbs of tq
10.2:1 compression
hydrolic tranny
obd-1 0bd-2
