b18 swap

was goin to get a tranny swap for my d, got everything

now i found a b18 for dirt cheap

was wondering if i could use the shift linkage, slave cylinder, master cylinder, clutch lines, clutch assebly for my b18 swap..i heard that you can..true?

I believe out of all that, you need the B-series shift linkage. Basically when I got my B18 swap done into my MT Civic, they reused both the master and slave cylinders and clutch line.

I did this swap for a friend, what Zegs said is correct. All the clutch related stuff can be reused, you'll just have to carefully bend the clutch hard lines to fit right. You can get 99-00 Si shift linkages for around $75 new, so don't pay big money for some old beat up ones. Try this link...

The shifter itself and the whole pivot assembly will swap right out of your D-linkage into the B-linkage also.

B18 sWAP INFO

i did this swap on my car, the motor droped right in, New motor mounts were needed because the bushings were beat. You have to get a integra header if it going in a civic because of the header clearence. So dont go try'n to throw on a B16 header cuz it will hit your oil pan. When doing any swap make sure to inspect you motor, i.e injectors,crank pulley, clutch, ext when its out of the car, so it make yor life easier.

Yeah I forgot about the header thing, but typically the swap will come with stock exhaust manifold anyways so it might not concern you til later. The B16 block height is substantially shorter then a B18 so the location of the exhaust ports is lower in the vehicle and in relation to the block.
