B18A1 into 97 Civic

hey guys i dont know if u remember or cared but i just got finished doin a mini-me (bad bottom end on the old Y8) and i just ran into a complete LS swap for 700 dollars B18A1 the problem is that the tranny is cable and i have a hydro car...can this be done? if so what do i need to do? any possitive feedback is appreciated...THX
