$300 ain't bad for a B swap, as long as it's in good condition. as to whether or not you actually want to swap that motor in, well that's a different matter. you can make a lot more power off of many other motors, but you could always go for the old school factor. way back when, before people really started to understand how to tune the VTEC engines, the B18A and B18B were the motors of choice. you can actually make some pretty decent power with those motors, and if you're going for more of a "period-themed" build on your car, that'll fit in nicely.

'course there's always the LS/VTEC route!

you'll need a few other parts too, the transmission comes to mind. B series blocks and D series transmissions are not compatible.

i'm sure there's lots more, but i can't think of them right now. but a used B series transmission shouldn't be too hard to find.

just remember that the non VTEC integras had longer gears than the GS-Rs, which will affect your acceleration.

Thats the way to go. im building an ls/vtec myself. if youve got only 300 in the motor you could easily build a ls/vtec and not have a whole lot of money in it. of course that depends on how much you are wanting to get out of the thing. i paid 200 for my ls motor, got it from a friend who put in a gsr swap. i paid 230 for the golden eagle ls/vtec kit (comes with everything you need to make it work) and 350 in a b16a head. not bad really.

I would invest in some ARP rod bolts as the LS rod bolts are very weak especially if your going to rev it over 7k rpms.

Not unless you take the wiring harness from the Integra you got it from, and wire that all the way through your Civic. You're obd1, the b18a1 is obd1 or obd0. Do you know what year the motor is?

Oh yeah, you might want to check out my b18a1 into CRX swap in my sig just to see what an "easy" obd0 -> obd0 swap is like.
