It depends, of done right it can be reliable but, that requires alot of work to the bottom end to make it strong enough to handle high RPM's.

What are your goals for the car? I always say keep it simple, just use a motor that is VTEC to begin with. If you want the extra displacement you can always re-sleeve and increase the bore later.

If you planned on running a 2.0 liter bottom-end you cannot use the stock P30 ECU program, you will need a custom tune.

type in english man... it makes things easier....

if you're doing any kind of performance upgrade to a B20, you MUST/REALLY REALLY SHOULD resleeve, or risk damaging the cylinder walls either through all motor or turbo pressure breaking old and used sleeves. the walls are already somewhat unstable as it is, being that a CRV block is essentially an LS block that's bored .2 over...

there is nothing wrong with doing a CRVTEC conversion, you just have to be careful. golden eagle makes all sorts of things that will help with the swap, like vtec oil distributors, oil lines, conversion head pin and gasket sets... it's all there and it's a very reliable conversion if it's done right.

uh, the B20Z is from the 00-01 CRV's i believe and has a couple more horses under the valve cover... and probably fewer miles than the B20B, although since you SHOULD be doing a rebuild of any junkyard motor you get age shouldn't be an issue as long as the block is in tact.

as i've said, do this right and there's not a thing wrong with going CRVTEC, i know quite a few people that rely on this swap as a daily driver and a weekend racer. just do it right. good luck

I've got the engine out and i'm just waiting to save up enough for an H22... cause i really don't feel like going F22B... lots of other stuff coming... soon...

I may have a Manual gauge cluster from a 4th Gen accord for sale in the very near future... PM me if you're interested

its not reliable unless u replace internals and sleeve teh block the reason why is because the crv block(b20) is meant for low rpms, sticking a high rpm vtec head onto it is making it go against what it was built for, thats why u need to do internals and sleeve the block
