wats hapning,
at the moment i own a 98 integra sir witha jdm b18c. iv been offered 12,000 NZ$ for it so bout 7-8 us. it crossed my mind that after iv sold it i could import a shitty 1995 up integra from japan myself for around $3,000 NZ, with the change i was thinking of a b20b block with a ctr head, cams. slevved block with high comp pistons (12.5;1) prety much the works. the car will be street driven but used for 1/4 mostly whn driven hard. do u think the entire lot could be done for $6,000 NZ. iv got a m8 who knows his shit about putting it together, is this possible or not.
Mods: Currently Stripped completely....Fuckin Crooks.
if you get all the parts used you are planning to sleeve the block and bore it? it cost my friend around 1k just to sleeve and bore the block on his b18b1(ls)
then he got aftermarket rods, high compression pistons, buddy club+3 cams high compression valves, skunk2 intake manifold act clutch and flywheel (prolite) the bearings on the block he went with . jeez i dont know how to spell i think its clevite 77's very very good bearings for these motors. all in all he did alot of work and it probably cost him around 3-4k to fully build this motor up. he is currently running mid12's
good luck m8
iv decided im going to go ahead with the project but before i do i need a list of all the parts (every single one) required to do the swap and any reccomendations any of u my have. Any responce will be appreciated

The b20 will drop in using your existing parts (mounts, etc) I would recomand upgrading to a better tranny with shorter gearing though ( b16,b18c1/5).
Unless your plan to make a lot of power, you should be fine with keeping the stock sleeves. If you do decide to sleeve a motor, just keep your stock one (b18b I assume) and have it sleeved then bored to 84mm. It will save you to cost of buying another block and the hassle of selling your block. That will get you close to 2.0ltr. You can also stroke the motor to bupm the displacement to over 2.0ltr.

i do plan on making alot of power(200-220WHP) but the integra im looking at purchasing in 1996 a has a 1600cc engine non vtec. its cheap so the hassle will be worth. i jst want to know all the little things that i need to watch out for and if anybody would have any recomendations for me e.g wat u would do if u were doing the swap. my budget is around $8-9000nz which is about $5500 US i only want to spend $4000 US on the engine plus wat i get for the old block, the rest is hopefully going on suspension & brakes. my goal is to do very low 14s down the 1/4 or a high 13s if possible on street tires with a bit of weight reduction

When I said a lot of power I was thinking over 300whp, then again you are going N/A so 220whp is a lot.....Stock sleeves should be fine IMO, Get some good cams, high comp pistons, and some headwork and you will be closer to your goal, sleeves will run you about $1,000 or so (sleeves + bore and hone) through GE, I just had my b18c sleeved.

yea i suppose 220whp is a little optomistic but do u think my goals are achieveable with the work i want to carry out. if u had to choose between slevving the block or going with a b16a tranny or a itr tranny which would u prefer. i would like to think i could rev it over 8,000rpm whith out having to worry about anything going wrong which makes me think slevve it but on the otha hand the ratios of a itr tranny may be as benificial. high comp pistons cams valvetrain ctr head are already in the mix but i am worried if the block can handle all of the mods. i want to do this reliably so sleving seems to be the best option and mybe i can jst change the final gear to combat the lacking tranny in comparison to an itr item. any thoughts appreciated :bh
