Question B20Vtec concept....

Can you break it down for a dummy on how this works?

What parts are needed? Is this set-up usually for FI or NA? Can this setup fit in a civic, integra, prelude, without cutting anything?

I already went to the crvtec site....any other sites?

I'm not sure if this site has what you're looking for but you can get nicely built CRV/VTEC's from them ...

crv vtec
the b20 block is the same as an ls only it had a 84mm bore rather then a 81mm like that ls the sleaves are also stronger, you may already know that , but the 2.0 block mated to a vtec head is a very potent combination, the only problem is that the bottom end is not ment for high reving so if you looking for a hight reving motor you might want to consider building it repalcing the stock rod bolts will help a lot ARP makes great rod bolts.....

the motor bolts right into any civic or integ that can fit a b16 , it uses the same tranny as any other b series...ect... you need to run a oil line from the back of the block.to the head . just like ls vtec and you need to seal up the oil feed on the head adn re locate the dowl pins on either the head or the block your choice...

i love my b20 couldnt be happier , but i am building one in june need more boost ...lol hope i helped a lil ...ohh also like it says in the crvtec.com site you need to machine the stock pistons for vtec valve clearance if you are using stock pistons i have seen over 200hp na. and my 300hp @ 7 psi all stock is another example

NO it takes more than just power to turni n a low 12 sec time slip on an FWD. my guess would be low 13's to high 12's on street tires and maybe low 12's with slick, LSD, and a good suspension. Once I finish my port work and Fuel I will be putting down close to 320WHP and about 350lbs of TQ but will most likely not see lower than high 12 sec timeslips due to traction issues.

well, I would guess if you got the lsd, slicks, traction bars, and a 2-step launch controll..low, LOW 12's shouldnt be to hard.. is the car gutted or a daily driver?
