Talking best motor & tranny swap for a '90 civic dx

i just got this 1990 honda civic dx and i was wondering what would be the best motor and tranny to go into it for the dollar..i'm kinda new at this import stuff but i do autocross a 1966 chevrolet corvair in CP. anywho..please help..right now all i know about it is that it's a 1.6 5 speed and the motor pings in the mid rpm's..i need help i think it is about to die...188,000 miles doesn't help either i guess... btw.. i would like to know which integra motors would be best for my car along with anything else that would work. i just said that...

thanks- ~*Kyle*~

I would say a B16A swap. Its a high-revving DOHC motor with VTEC. About 160 horses with (correct me if i am wrong guys)..like around and 8000 RPM redline. It will slip right in with a motor mount kit, new shift linkage, axles and some wiring..its a great motor to build up. you can do just about anything with it..boost..nitrous..n/a..if you want the swap done in a shop its usually around 3 grand for the entire swap.

thanks a bunch.. i was thinking of going with a b18a1 if it will go in without any additional mounts..i can do the swap myself though but how much does a mounting kit cost? also, what kind of transmission can i use? will the one from the d15b2 work or will i need the tranny to?
