Cost of B16/B18 install

I'm gonna buy one of these 2 swaps but how much does it cost in labor to have put in? Doing it myself is not an option. I lack the tools and proper knowledge to do it in less than a month...so I just want an average cost to have the swap done in my 95 hatch.

Estimate about 10 hours of labor times whatever that shop charges for their time. Also consider that you might need extra stuff to make the swap work depending on what swap you are doing, i.e. wiring, ecu, tranny, mounts, etc. You probably also what to do a major tuneup and replace the timing belt and waterpump while your at it. Id guess on average about $1000 for install and all miscellaneus stuff you might run into, but this could vary by alot. It could be half that if its a drop in swap and everything goes smoothly, or you could get farked like me and spend double that.: :

motor swap

since your from ny most shops out here charge 600-1000 for a swap and the price diff if you do or dont supply the motor, also if your looking for a motor you can chk shea stadium for a motor they have them instock and you can chk them out right there (so it better than shipping) good luck

Get the motor from HMotorsOnline.com, they have the best prices. And to get it installed you are looking at $500 (probably not alot of care involved for this price) to $1500 (if they are a relatively high-end shop). I would say $1000 is fair for everything including wiring, fluids, etc.
