Hey everybody, I bought a motor from hondamotorsonline.com which should have arrived here more than a week ago. I have emailed them and called them and left messages several times asking for at least a tracking number. They dont reply to messages and havent answered the phone for the last 2 days. I hope I didnt get robbed $3,300. I had heard good things of them before. Has anyone actually delt with them personally. thanks
Leo

I wonder what it would be like with forced induction???
I just got my sir 2 b16a from hondamotorsonline. It took them 3-1/2 weeks to deliver it, but it arrived tuesday. The guy steve who works there must run the place pretty much by himself cause hes the only dude who ever answers the phone. But anyways, when it got here it had everything needed to do the swap, clean engine, ecu, the right axles, the wrong linkage but fixed that with a little cutting and welding. They're probably just busy dude, try calling late night at around 900 Eastern time.
Mods: too much to list...or is it that i am too lazy...hmmmmm??????
not the first time i heard about that......freind of mines just got his B16A6...and he got the wrong linkage too.....his car is fast now...he just went and bought a GSR linkage with shifter...
no one answers?? thats odd. I think its bad timing cause i talked to steve today about getting a head. I know hes busy theres only like 3 of them workin there.
Yeah, I got a hold Steve two days ago, there was a big screwed up guy that was working for him but he got fired a few weeks ago, anyways the thing is my b16a was never shipped, so I asked him not to ship it, instead send me a b18c... I had to pay a little extra but hopefully thats on its way. But he was really nice and apologized for the screw up. hopefully I will have that engine here and installed before the end of this month. I will post a reply here to let you know how it went if your interested. Thanks for the responses.

Hey I got my engine. Six days after he said he shipped it the engine it was here. I guess I was being a little paranoic. Steve is a good guy, there was just a little screw up from somebody that use to work for him. I recommend buying from them anytime!!

I've only heard great things about hondamotorsonline, so i thought it was weird hearing they didn't send your shit out and everything, but it was a mixup. Thats cool you got your engine, and even cooler you went for the b18c, how much more did you pay for it ?
Steve @hondamotorsonline seems to be a great, just a severely overwhelmed/busy guy. There have been times I tried to get a hold of him and I would get stuck on voicemail, or I would have to call throughout an hour or so, so I can relate to the difficulty in getting ahold of him on occasion.
But, when I got my swap from him the motor was extrodinaritly clean, even started up on the first crank. I did have a minor problem in which I was sent a b16 axle, not a b18c axle, which we could not tell until after the car was on the ground. Scared the crap out of me, hearing the axle grind around in the tranny.... but, he told me to get get a new one and he would re-emburse me. Which he did. The only other thing that happened was the A/C compressor and power steering unit were not sent on the skid w/ the engine, but I called him up now they are sitting in my garage waiting to get installed.
To summarize, yes he is busy, and sometimes he'll make some small errors, but he will fix them, and stands by his word. His products are clean and in good condition, and I would definitely recommend hondamotorsonline to anyone that asks.
Oh, I do have a question though, how long does it usually take for the insurance papers to arrive, regarding the motor? Thanks.

I am considering purchasing a B18C1 swap from them for my 94 Si. Does anyone know if I will need to purchase any additional items to complete the swap? Like motor mounts or anything like that? Thanks
He sells the complete swap. My mechanic started working on the car this morning and when I went back this evening he was already closed but my car was outside and I had a spare key. I was pissed cause when I saw it outside I thought he hadnt worked on it yet, but when I popped the hood. there it was, a b18c in my 92 cx. There were still some parts that were not hooked up, pretty much all electrical stuff. I noticed the ac wasnt connected, can anyone tell me if I need something extra to add the ac, or will I have to live without it. I havent talked to my mechanic yet so I dont know if he just didnt have the time today or if he cant do it with the parts he has. Besides that and the intake which sits lower we'll have to improvise with that as well, and ofcourse the exhaust. but everything else looks good. I wasnt expecting the engine to be in so soon, if not I would have taken my camera and posted some pics here. Maybe this weekend I will spend some time detailing the car and I'll post some pics.
steve is the man.... he hooked me up lovely just for being patient.....i ordered it with everything included (complete swap) and was at my door 5 days later..... i still have to get it installed so hopefully it goes well....... just be patient... he is very busy cause when i called him i was put on hold 2 times and i was holding each time for liek 10 minutes........

JoKeR 13, When I did my swap, I needed (2) '99 Si mounts, the rear and drivers side. You'll prolly ned the same.
leolo007, did you order a B18C? If you did, then you'll need a DelSol A/C mount for the A/C compressor. At least this was the case with me, but I have a different generation ('97 LX). Oh, and thanks for the PM. Steve told me the insurance papers come seperately from the insurance company he gets his motors from. Hopefully, these things on't take too long. My inspection comes up soon, and I want to have all of my ducks in a row, just in case I get any crap.
