Custom Cat for JDM to Cat Back

Someone here a while back before the site went down had a thread about their custom cat that they ordered to a specific length to fit between their Header down pipe and the cat back exhaust....... It may have been Mike SHO or Temp or something, not too sure.

Anyhow I was interested in the cat he ordered and am now in a position to put my exhaust system together but can't find the link to the place. This place I think used car sound cats and would custom fab something to fit the dimensions that you need.

I really need to find that place because I don't have any good muffler shops that I trust to do the welding for me so I want it all to bolt together nicely.

Anyhow, any help would be greatly appreciated.

i don't have the link, but was it 1greyteg?

any muffler shop that has a guy who can weld at all can slip some flanges on there and weld them for you & you can take your carsound home & bolt it on yourself though.

Yeah, that's exactly what I want to do is have a cat fabbed to the correct length I need with the flanges welded on so I can just bolt it up.

I'm having trouble finding a good muffler shop though that does decent work. The last place I went to, to have my stock exhaust welded to my header, butchered it and it's all kinds of sloppy and uneven etc. You should see what the collector coming off my nice JDM header looks like now....ugggghhh is all I got to say about that Consequently I'm also now looking to either replace my header or get a new down pipe for it... one with a collector & flange that's not all butchered up like mine is now.

you can also find a good swap shop, they should know how to weld if they are good. the shop that did mine custom welded in my carsound cat and had to cut my exhaust to mate to the H22 header.
